A special thanks -
to you, for being here.
You, who without, tonight,
would never have happened.
And you, for your help and support.
Even you, though you probably
don't even know how you ended up at prom.
Thank you all.
Because at ADP,
It's more than just a degree,
It's about the community.

after party
We decided. To let you guys plan your own afterparty, because you and you only can decide what the coolest afterparty would be. Be it a sleepover, a movie night, making babies in a hotel room, clubbing, getting drunk in a bar, or just sleeping with your make-up still on.
Okay, here's the truth. Zouk pulled out on us a bit too late for us to manage a back-up place. For now, most of the clubs are either too costly, or are full house. Which is a shame.
But yes. Seriously. Go plan your OWN afterparty. We don't want to tie you down. Go do that now. =)

ka-ching
If you still haven't paid up, a counter will be opened every monday, wednesday and friday from 12-2pm at KPD E Level 1.
We need your money to give you an awesome prom. So yes, please, we beseech thee O fellow brethren. Go pay up.
Also, for those who booked tables, please pass the list of names of people on your table to Yee Teng. If you don't know who that is, refer to the crazy girl's picture below. =)

how do I pay?
terms and conditions
If you have booked a table for the early bird prices, please pay up at least 40% of the table's price (RM440) by this Friday to confirm your booking. If you fail to do so, we're sorry to say you'll have to pay the more expensive rate. It's just RM44 per person.
But don't make this a reason to pay the remainder late. Pay up ASAP to make your life funner!!

how do I nominate my prom king and queen?
Anyone can nominate anyone. In fact, everyone should nominate someone. But no one can nominate more than once. AND don't tell us that your name is NOWAN and nominate twice. If you want to win, get people to nominate you.
Money politics is highly encouraged. If you want to bribe, be sure to bribe a student council member to manipulate the nominations' count. (We only accept rates above RM1,500. The proceedings will be reinvested in the prom)
How to?
Step 1: Find someone to nominate.
Step 2: Tell them you're going to nominate them, and get their Student ID Number.
Step 3: Email your nominations (Name, ID, Your Nominee/s' Name and ID) to hucadpsc(at)gmail.com.
Step 4: Please tell them to dress nicely on that day.
Step 5: Wait in excitement for embarrassing stuff to happen to your nominations on that day.
RULES:
#1: No, you can't nominate last year's winners. (Have you ever seen a repeat winner on Miss Universe?)
#2: No, lecturers cannot be nominated by students. (Unless they have a student ID)
#3: Your and your nominee must be attending prom. (If your nominee doesn't show up for prom, a bit bodoh kan?)
#4: Only the top 4 for both Prom King and Queen will be selected for the finals.
#5: No, non-ADP students cannot be nominated. (This is your night. Take ownership of it)

i'm a lecturer/admin. do i need to pay?
Unfortunately, as we have some budget problems (i.e. we are short on $$$), it is our grave regret to inform you that, yes you have to pay for your ticket.
Ticket Rates are as follows:
Single Ticket: RM120
Table of Ten: RM1100
(Tickets are non-transferable to students)
Please do come and join us. Lecturers and admin are just as important a part of the community in ADP. A prom without you folks will be like a nasi lemak without sambal.
And yes, bring along your husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, fiancee, children... We want your family members to feel just as integral a part of ADP as you are!

but I really want a poster!
You might see this hanging around college. But chances are you won't. Cause we're on this "save the environment print less posters less wastage" roll. Just in case you thought it looks very nice, or you might be sentimental and wanna get everyone's autograph on it, or you just wanna kill some trees out there, you can open the image and save it. Go thank our designer - Trisha Teo.
what should I wear to prom?
Guidelines for guys:
#1 Cover up your leg hair.
#2 Cover up your armpit hair.
Anything else is fine. You wanna go with belt, suspenders, bowtie, tie, suit, coat, shortsleeve shirt, longsleeve shirt, t-shirt with formal jacket, fedora, tophat, leather shoes, mocassins... The list goes on. Or, walk into a high-end clothes shop and shout, "MAKE ME LOOK HANDSOME FOR THE NIGHT!"
Guidelines for girls:
We're sure you girls already know what to wear. See you there. But just be reminded, there might be hamsap fellas roaming about there. Don't lead them on. justsayin'

why is prom so early this year?
There are a couple of reasons for that.
This year, we experienced a calender change from our usual long-short-long semester system. Instead, we now have a long-long-short semester system. Therefore
#1 We want you guys to be able to enjoy your November December holidays without having to come back for a college event that might just disrupt your plans.
#2 It's better to have it during a long semester where everyone's still around. This would serve the foreign students better as many of them will be back in their motherland.
#3 Many of you will be stressing about transferring come the year end. We don't want to add on to that the stress of shopping for the perfect prom gown on you females. For males, start stressing about which tie you're gonna wear.
#4 It's a bit too rush to have it during a short semester. This leaves us with ample time to organize our ADP mixer for the short semester. (Which means you'll get to have fun next semester too!)
#5 We can't wait to give you guys more fun! That's why it's so soon. Who knows? Maybe in five years time, we'll be having two proms a year!
